Mocrocks Digs Confirmed, Shift to Morning Tides, April Dates Proposed, 2016-2017 Licenses Available

According to a recent press release published by Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife found here, digs at Mocrocks beach are confirmed from March 25-27. And, the shift to morning tides is taking place.  WDFW also reminds razor clammers that 2015-2016 licenses will expire on March 31. New licenses should be obtained for the 2016-2017 season beginning April 1.

Mocrocks
The dig at Mocrocks is scheduled on morning tides and ends at noon each day. Low tides during the three-day dig at Mocrocks are:

  • March 25, Friday, 8:31 a.m.; 0.7 feet; Mocrocks
  • March 26, Saturday, 9:06 a.m.; 0.6 feet; Mocrocks
  • March 27, Sunday, 9:42 a.m.; 0.7 feet; Mocrocks

Digging at Long Beach continues until March 31.

Digging only allowed from noon to mid-night (PM hours)

  • March 23, Wednesday, 7:34 p.m.;  0.8 feet; Long Beach
Digging only allowed from mid-night to noon (AM hours)

  • March 24, Thursday, 7:57 a.m.;  0.8 feet; Long Beach
  • March 25, Friday, 8:31 a.m.;  0.7 feet; Long Beach
  • March 26, Saturday, 9:06 a.m.;  0.6 feet; Long Beach
  • March 27, Sunday, 9:42 a.m.;  0.7 feet; Long Beach
  • March 28, Monday, 10:21 a.m.;  0.8 feet; Long Beach
  • March 29, Tuesday, 11:06 a.m.;  1.0 feet; Long Beach
  • March 30, Wednesday, 12:00 p.m.;  1.2 feet; Long Beach
